Astrid is a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, pediatric hypnotherapist, counsellor,  accredited integrative health, nutrition & eating psychology coach, ICF certified professional coach and is trained and registered with The Australian Center of Eating Disorders for all Eating Disorders, Obesity & Bariatric Surgery Support.​

Astrid provides an evidence based practice, provides a focused, professional, confidential service. She creates customised sessions specifically for each person using knowledge and skills including psychotherapy, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), counselling and hypnotherapy. 

​Astrid uses all modalities in her sessions to help people discover how resourceful they can be in their health & recovery and assist them to find their true purpose beyond the confines of an illness, or health challenge.

Astrids background in nutrition & eating psychology has made her passionate about using food as medicine and looking outside the box when it comes to illness, weight management and disease!  By focusing on the psychology of the eater, we realise that food is often a small part of the problem, the real challenge people have is understanding the deeper unconscious roots that we all have that hold us back from health and healing in body in mind, be that trauma, anxiety, emotions or depression.

Astrid has extensive and up to date knowledge in nutrition, has experience treating chronically ill patients as well a wide range of common modern day health issues. After many years of nutrition counselling and coaching experience means that she fully understands the true healing model for optimal health. In her sessions she spends the time to truly understand the patients’ health history to develop the most suitable healing program for the individual.

Astrid has done extensive work and training in the area of eating disorders, disordered eating and chronic dieting with men and women of all ages incorporating her work and background in coaching, hypnotherapy, counselling and guidance which is a key component for patients to make the necessary dietary and lifestyle changes in order for successful healing offering treatment options to those suffering from eating disorders, chronic dieting, body image issues, gut health & chronic illness as well as trauma, anxiety, depression, phobias and addiction therapy.
